Eighth May 1945, the Second World War is over. To mark the beginning of
peace 60 years ago, Oris is launching an innovative and precious
pilot’s watch. This special edition is limited to 1945 watches, all
individually numbered. The complex instrument is actually three watches
in one: the well-known Oris worldtimer movement, enabling the display of
two analogue time zones, is combined with a third time scale.
The vertically positioned additional crown at two o’clock enables the
inner ring to rotate over the dial and set the third time zone. This is
the first time that Oris has used this concept, which originates from
cockpit watches in planes.
The High-Mech watch, with multi-piece case and exquisitely fluted top
ring, is designed in the style of the classic Oris Big Crown collection.
Water-resistant to 50 m, it comes with a sturdy pilot’s leather strap,
day/night display for the second time zone, and automatic date change
– forwards and backwards.

Homage
to the Great Entertainer
“If I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere. It’s up to you,
New York, New York.” It’s an unforgettable refrain. Frank Sinatra
inspired generations with his powerful and distinctive voice, and
conquered both stage and cinema. “The Voice” has been a household
name ever since. This year Oris is honouring the great entertainer with
the Frank Sinatra Power Reserve, an exclusive model in a limited edition
of 2090 watches, all individually numbered.
The simple but dynamic modern design evokes the style of the swinging
sixties. Beneath the dial bearing the name “Sinatra”, the power
reserve is displayed (up to 42 hours). This watch is outstanding from
the six-piece stainless steel case, offering optimal wearing comfort, to
the flexible lugs and water-resistant ray leather strap.
The exclusivity of this watch is marked by the engravings on the case
back: the unmistakable Frank Sinatra’s portrait and signature,
together with the watch’s individual number and a small window to view
the High-Mech movement. The watch is presented in a cedar-wood humidor,
along with a cigar cutter and a certificate detailing the highlights of
the superstar’s life. |

The era of the Oris chronograph began in 1970, and right from the very
first model the stop watch collection was a tremendous success.
Chronoris had racing styling, which is still en vogue today. Now the
prototype of chronographs is set to make an exciting come-back.
Chronoris 2005 combines the style of the original with the latest
developments in High-Mech technology. This includes the additional
minute counter positioned at 12 o’clock, the orange rotating
click-stop bezel and the tachometer. Brand new is the Quick Lock System
to secure the big crown.
The multi-piece case, water resistant up to 50 m, is made of stainless
steel. The black and orange saddle-leather strap emphasises the sports
styling of the chronograph. The watch is presented in a special box,
together with a second, metal bracelet, a tool for exchanging the strap,
and a certificate.
